cyber operations readiness (cor) program
Cyber Operations Readiness (COR) is an online, non-degree training program designed to provide students with practical exposure to modern cybersecurity tools and enterprise-style environments. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, operational context, and familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Sentinel & more, helping students better understand how cybersecurity work is performed in real organizations.
the pipeline
(COR) Program
Phase 1
introduces students to how organizations actually operate day to day. Students work primarily from a ticket queue and learn how issues are identified, documented, and resolved in a professional environment.
Operational Support Fundamentals:
Phase 2
System Administration & Security Foundations
Phase 2 moves students from responding to issues into maintaining and configuring the systems themselves. Students take on responsibilities closer to a junior systems administrator or cloud administrator role.
Phase 3
Security Operations / Detection &
Incident Response
Phase 3 places students in a SOC-style role. Using the systems and logs they are already familiar with, students investigate alerts and incidents in a controlled but realistic environment.
The Cyber Range
When you enroll in the COR program, you will also get access to the Cyber Range! The Cyber Range is a hands-on, community-driven environment built for real-world IT and cybersecurity training. This platform lets students work together in the same network using real enterprise tools like Tenable for vulnerability management and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for threat hunting on Azure. It offers guided labs, mentorship, resume and career support, plus internship tasks in vulnerability management and threat hunting that you can complete on your own to earn credit. The Cyber Range Community is designed to give you practical skills, confidence, and the support you need to get hired.
